A community dedicated to pirating iOS applications and distributing them via Cydia, an app store for jailbroken Apple devices, has been shut down by its creators. The popular community, called “Hackulous,” was dedicated to cracking paid iOS applications and then distributing them via a Cydia application
called “Installous.” The Hackulous Team has posted a message on its
site saying that the community has been shuttered due to lack of
support, however, taking with it the Installous application and “AppTracker,” an index for cracked apps, TorrentFreak reports.

“We are very sad to announce that
Hackulous is shutting down,” the Hackulous Team wrote on its
site. ”After many years, our community has become stagnant and our
forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them
online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re
incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope
that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.”
