Madhubala: 

Arguably the most beautiful artiste to ever grace the Indian screen, Madhubala rose from humble beginnings to become the most captivating star India has ever produced.

Nargis: 

Nargis was the first actor to be honored with the Padmashree Award.Formed one of the most popular Hindi on-screen couples with Raj Kapoor. Off-screen, she was deeply in love with the already married Raj Kapoor.

Rekha: 

Inability to speak Hindi, a dusky complexion as well as her weight was a problem when she made her debut. Later shed those extra pounds, learned Hindi and dancing, and thus was born a new and much improved Rekha - who went on to deliver one box office hit after another.

Sridevi: 

She made her foray on the Bollywood tinsel screen in 1975 with the smash-hit 'Julie' in which she played the younger sister of the lead actress. Thereafter she has gone on to act in adult roles in over 200 movies in a career that has spanned from 1967 through to 2007.

She was an architecture student before she entered modeling as her part-time job. She rejected the film offers initially, soon after winning the Miss World 1994 title, she made her Bollywood debut.

Kareena: 

Her film debut was in the year 2000 with 'Refugee' opposite Abhishek Bachchan. She is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, considered bankable, with an enviable A-listing.

Katrina: 

She was flooded with modeling assignments the minute she set her foot on Indian soil, especially with her innocent expressive face, hour-glass figure, and drop-dead gorgeous looks. She got her break in a Bollywood movie in Kaizad Gustad's 'Boom'.

Deepika: 

At the fifth annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards, she was awarded the title of Model of the Year. She is easily one of the most recognizable faces in Bollywood. She was the most searched celebrity on Yahoo! India Search in 2008.

Bipasha: 

After her triumph as the Ford Supermodel, Bipasha made her foray into Bollywood with 'Ajnabee' in 2001, and subsequently acquired a place for herself in tinsel world.
