This year's worst dressed - Vidya Balan

Year 2012 saw the rise and fall of many a star in the best and worst dressed list. While regulars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra exited the best dressed list, giving way to a fresh new fashion brigade, some worst dressed remain on this year's list, because they can't just seem to get their style right. Team Yahoo! Lifestyle brings you a look at who made it to the bottom of the style charts.

Vidya Balan's sense of style can be divided into two categories; plain bizarre and, of course, the old grandmother look.
We have had to shield our eyes from Vidya Balan and her style statement every time we saw her publicly. In her 'Heyy Baby' and 'Kismat Connection' days, we wondered if she could see people cringe whenever she entered the room. From short skirts to 18-year-old high ponytails, from unflattering dresses to ghastly salwar suits, she's worn them all and found a mention in every single 'worst dressed list'.
Then she found her saviour in a designer, lovingly known as Sabya (Sabyasachi). The ace designer became her sole stylist and for a while we loved the curves, the drapes, the colours and the minimalism.
But then we grew bored. We grew bored of the exact same things that were, at one point in time, a sight for sore eyes, as far as Vidya's fashion sense was concerned. It is always the same Sabyasachi sari, hair tied in a bun or left open, and barely some accessories.
We wonder, we are confused, how can a woman who so consistently belts out superhit after superhit, can dress so badly so consistently?
